We'd love to hear from you!
Bear with me- it’s about to get a little sentimental around here.
Do you remember the first time you touched a horse? I don’t - I mean, I was less than a year old so….. I don’t remember a life without horses of every kind (thanks Mom!). I doubt the majority of us in this industry remember that first time.
What brought about this question you ask?
Last week, I had the pleasure of giving one of our Foal Naming Contest winners a tour of the farm, as well as a meet and greet with Windy Corner and Holly Hill Armitage. When Pam and Holly Hill first met – it was actually Pam’s first time close enough to touch a horse. She had never seen a foal only half a day old, much less had yearling fillies vie for her attention and try to steal her hat in a selfie.

Making moments like that happen – that’s priceless in so many ways for me, for Pam, for our horses and for our sport.
See, Pam grew up around Lexington, had been to Keenland almost every meet, even Red Mile many years ago (we need to fix that!), admired all the beautiful farms and horses from – a distance. A distance, that most of you reading this and myself, have never known.
We feel it’s time for us to close the distance (pun intended).
Because Holly Hill Armitage has a fan for life and Pam will be going back to Red Mile and following Harness Racing a little more, and, and, and.
So, we invite you to join us in a journey of firsts for our horses, a few peeks at history, a little horsey education, some laughs and wherever this path leads. Invite everybody you know and let’s make sure a lot more people experience these firsts and stay.
We are open to questions, collaborations, topic suggestions….just throw it all at us!
P.S. If you do remember- share your stories in the comments.
